life cycle impact assessment
We updated and improved the applicability and flexibility of the ecological scarcity method with the help of the project management, industrial partners and experts from the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN). The impact factors were updated to the actual state of the environment and environmental legislation. Furthermore, the method has been extended with some additional key environmental impacts such as a regionalised assessment of water use. A Japanese version of the method was developed.
